This integration allows people to explore their gifts and their potential career interests in different aspects of the communication field.
LIVING IN MADISON
Internships are held at 2100's studios located at InterVarsity's National Service Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Depending on your experience and perspective, being here might feel like life in a big city, a small town, or somewhere in between.
Madison is the capital city and is host to the large, thriving University of Wisconsin. Translation: The downtown area is an interesting place to explore, and there's a thriving student/youth culture. If you've got a car you can make road trips to other areas such as Milwaukee and Chicago, or explore any number of the thousands of lakes and nature areas around.

Worried about finding a community you can click with? Keeping our finger on the pulse of college life is integral to our work, which means having interns around to work with is also integral. It's not uncommon for 2100 interns to find a sort of "instant community" together, in addition to clicking with other folks on the 2100 team and in the office in general. There are also community-based activities to consider (e.g. some of us are still trying to get the nerve to enroll in hula dancing classes). Also, there are a number of churches with different kinds of college/post-grad groups to connect with.

Interns may room with other incoming interns. Some may find housing with staff members or friends of InterVarsity in the Madison area, but are expected to cover the cost of their room and board.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
2100 is sustained financially by gifts from those who support our vision and ministry. Interns with 2100 may choose to:
1) raise financial support for their ministry with 2100 and receive a stipend to cover living expenses, or
2) participate in an unpaid internship.
For those who opt to raise financial support, we work with our interns to set a budget appropriate to their needs and resources. To give you an idea of how it works, fundraising for a limited term internship is comparable to raising funds for a short term missions project.
Fundraising inevitably raises issues and questions for many interns, which is understandable. Maybe you're wondering, What is fundraising? How do I do it? What if I've never done it before? What am I supposed to tell my parents? How much do I need and when do I need it by? Questions are good, and we have staff trained in Fund Development to work with you in the process. Fundraising is not always easy, but 2100 Productions is committed to trusting God for this provision.
COLLEGE CREDIT
Students wishing to obtain college credit for their internship should check with their educational institution regarding requirements for credit. We are glad to work with students to facilitate this option.
