Barney Ford

Barney Ford has been with InterVarsity for more than thirty five years serving in a wide variety of positions - Campus Staff Member, Area Director, Regional Director, Associate Director of Campus Ministry, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Urbana Director and Dean of Leadership Development. In 2001, he asked to step down from all positional authority in order to pursue greater depth in the spiritual disciplines and to provide pastoral care for staff.

In 2004 Barney returned to InterVarsity leadership when he was appointed Vice President and Director of Strategic Ministries. Then in 2007 he was given a new assignment, Director of Advancement. In this position he oversees InterVarsity's Development and Communications operations.

In addition to his work within InterVarsity, his experience includes the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program and Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management. Barney has chaired several boards - International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, Chapel of the Air Ministries and the Christian Partnership Council. He continues to serve as a Vice President of International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.

Barney is married to Arlene. They have three daughters and reside in Madison, Wisconsin.
