• (August 5, 2009) — Jennifer Anderson, talks about “Surprises on the Journey.” Jennifer is a staff writer and receptionist at the National Service Center. • (July 24, 2009) — InterVarsity president Alec Hill takes a look at year-end numbers following “the best year we’ve ever had” in terms of campus evangelism (with the exception of 1982, when Billy Graham participated in a campus mission in North Carolina). • (July 17, 2009) — Jim Friedericks, talks about “Link in Transition.” Link is InterVarsity’s staff connection to the work of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students in other countries of the world. • (January 5, 2009) — N.T. Wright, the Anglican Bishop of Durham, England, was the Biblical expositor for the Following Christ 2008 conference. In this, the first of three talks, Bishop Wright introduces his comments on the book of Colossians by focusing on the topic of Wisdom. Greek Conference is InterVarsity’s second largest student event (after Urbana). Conferences are held in Indianapolis, Charlotte and Los Angeles each year. The speaker for the Indianapolis 2009 Greek Conference, January 30-February 1, was Greek Ministries director Andy Dalton.

GRADUATE AND FACULTY MINISTRY

Mary Poplin spoke at the 2008 Midwest Faculty Conference, on the topic of “Singing the Lord’s Song in a Foreign Land.” Mary is professor of Education at the Claremont Graduate School in Claremont, California. Andy Crouch spoke at the 2008 Graduate Faculty Ministry National Staff Meeting. His talks focused on the same theme as his new book, Culture Making, released in July 2008 by InterVarsity press.
