Rappelling
The camp has several places to go rappelling. Check with the mountaineers for time. All rappelling must be done under the supervision of a mountaineer and in good weather conditions. (Spring/Summer/Fall) $12.00/person ($60.00 minimum)
Hiking
There are many great hiking trails located all around camp. Remember that you need to have at least 4 people in a hiking group and sign out on the sheet located outside the office. (Year Round)
Climbing Wall
The climbing wall is an indoor covered wall, 10-20 feet high, located in the Recreation Pavilion. Ask a mountaineer about setting up a time to use the climbing wall. (Year Round) $35.00/hr/group
Rock Climbing
For those interested in rock climbing, the mountaineers will lead guided climbs. Check with mountaineers for times. All rock climbing must be under the supervision of a mountaineer and in good weather conditions. (Spring/Summer/Fall) $12.00/person ($60.00 minimum)
Horseback and Pony Riding
For a unique view of the mountains from the back of a horse alone numerous trails around camp. For children there are pony rides in our round pen. Check with the Wranglers for times. (Spring/Summer/Fall) $25.00/person
Fishing
There is Rainbow, Brook, or Cutthroat Trout fishing at the Rosemont Reservoir, which is approximately 5 miles from camp. Only flies and lures only may be used. Also a 1 and 5 day fishing licenses must be obtained at either tackle shops or Wal-Mart stores in Colorado Springs. (Spring/Summer/Fall)
Frisbee Golf
We have a challenging, 18 hole (par 54), Frisbee golf course. For rules, a course map, and Frisbees check outside of the Cook House Lounge. (Spring/Summer/Fall)
Recreation Pavilion
The recreation pavilion, located across from the office, has ping-pong and foosball. (Year Round)
Mountain Biking
Guests are allowed to go mountain biking on the roads or designated trails. There is no biking on the hiking trails and it is highly recommended that helmets be used at all times. Ask the office about mountain bike rentals. (Spring/Summer/Fall) $12.00/person ($60.00 minimum)
Initiative Wall
The initiative wall is a 12-foot high wall designed to challenge your group to work together in getting everyone over. The initiative wall can only be used under the supervision of the mountaineers in good weather. (Spring/Summer/Fall)
Broomball
Start a friendly game of broomball. It is a great way to get outside in the winter and have some fun on the ice skating rink. (Winter)
Ice Skating
Ice skating is a great activity for people of all ages, Bear Trap has skates to borrow if you need them. (Winter)
Snow Tubing
Quick! Grab a snow tube and come join a friend on the tubing run for hours of enjoyment. (Winter)
Snow Shoeing
Get a pair of snow shoes and head out for a quiet walk though the mountains enjoying the beautiful mountain views. (Winter)
Board Games
For rainy days and evening fun check out the assortment of board games located in the Cook House Lounge. (Year Round)
