Gateway to Asia

Ephesus, a major focus of Paul's ministry, was a gateway city of the Roman Empire province of Asia.
The photo was taken in 2001. The building at the end of the street is the Library of Celsus, which does not quite date to the time of the Apostle Paul's domicile in Ephesus. But the theater nearby does.
