Starting an InterVarsity Chapter-Some Steps to Consider
For students and faculty who are interested in beginning a chapter.
There will be a lot more helpful resources coming soon. For now consider
the following steps:
1. Assess your campus and students’ interest in forming a multiethnic
witnessing community. Our intent is to build active groups of students and
faculty who desire to engage their local campus communities with the gospel
of Jesus Christ.
2. Learn more about InterVarsity. Check out these links:

15, 2006)

3. Start to pray together. Even if you just have a friend who’s interested
in starting something, begin to pray regularly for others to catch the
vision you’re casting.
4. Read some stories about other campuses. Experience the glory and pain by
following the accounts of some very different campuses. Check out the links
to stories on the Ministry Exchange Chapter Planting page:

5. Contact InterVarsity for help. Our staffing resources are limited, but
many regional events are available to help you meet people, get help and be
encouraged.

6. Follow the suggestions in the Planting Handbook (student version).
