Paula Fuller Named Interim VP

InterVarsity president Alec Hill announced the appointment of Paula Fuller as Interim Vice President/Director of Multiethnic Ministries effective April 1, 2005. She will serve in this position for at least one year.

“Paula is well known to many staff and brings a wealth of character and experience for such a time as this,” said Alec. “She is a frequent conference speaker and has served as Chair of our Board of Trustees for the past two years. During that time, she and I have developed a very strong personal bond and an excellent working relationship. I have actively pursued her to fill this role and am thankful for her response.”

Paula has most recently served as Pastor of Business Operations at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Menlo Park, CA. Her background in banking and telecommunications is in areas of strategic planning, marketing and risk management. She has earned degrees from the University of California-Berkeley (B.S), Stanford University (MBA) and Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div.). As required by InterVarsity bylaws, Paula will resign from the board.

Paula Fuller was keynote speaker for InterVarsity’s Staff Conference 2005 in St. Louis, MO. The title of her talk was A Word in Due Season. She reminded staff that we have been called by God to join him in his mission, and that this call is not based on work, it’s based on relationship. “He didn’t lay out a job description, he said ‘Follow Me.’ ”
