Jennifer Aguirre is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been in private practice for the past nine years. She cares deeply about cultural competence in counseling, helping people live balanced and healthy lives, and helping them identify the patterns, cycles, and habits that keep them from thriving. She is passionate about helping others understand how culture, race, gender, sexuality, and faith intersect with mental and emotional health issues.

She has her Master’s in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Prior to that, Jennifer was a campus staff member at Texas Tech University for five years and continues to volunteer regularly. Jennifer is married to Rene Aguirre, who is on staff with InterVarsity as the Senior Associate Director of LaFe. In her free time, she likes to play with makeup and build things with wood and power tools.
