DeeDee saw firsthand the impact of InterVarsity on her daughter; fueling a passion for campus ministry. She first, volunteered with InterVarsity on the Women’s Advisory Council, before joining InterVarsity's leadership team. Prior to InterVarsity, DeeDee served as CFO of Operation Mobilization.
DeeDee graduated from Auburn University with a BSBA degree and is an Emeritus Member of the Harbert School of Business Advisory Council. She started her career in Atlanta as a CPA with Price Waterhouse and The Coca-Cola Company before being recruited to Nike. During DeeDee’s 13 years at Nike, she held several finance roles before being promoted to VP/CFO of Nike’s Europe, Middle East and Africa Division. She ended her tenure at Nike as the VP/CFO of the USA region. DeeDee was also actively involved as a Charter Member of Nike’s Women’s Leadership Council.
After being named one of CFO Magazine’s “Top 25 women CFOs to Watch in 2008”, DeeDee left Nike to become CFO of Canadian fashion retailer, Aritzia, rounding out her corporate career at L.L. Bean and Newell Rubbermaid before God called her to use her gifts and passions in vocational ministry.
In addition to her work at InterVarsity, DeeDee also serves on the board of Thirty Three Threads, a growing athleisure company, where she is the Audit Committee Chair. She also serves on the board of Operation Mobilization USA where she continues to volunteer with their work to mobilize professional workers within their vocation to the least-reached countries of the world. She and her husband Dennis also invest in and advise several missional business ventures.
DeeDee has been married to Dennis 34 years. They love to travel, watch football, cook, and host missionaries in their home in Tyrone, Georgia. They have a daughter, Heather, who is also on staff with InterVarsity.
