A lot of phrases have been used to describe the blog of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the past. Dominant. Other-worldly. Best-ever. Chiseled. 6’8”. Body of a linebacker. Long wingspan. Crazy hops. Freak athle—no, wait, hang on, that’s LeBron James. Never mind.
But there are a lot of other adjectives floating around that also apply to our national blog, ones that we won’t bring up because we’re too humble. Also, we cannot currently locate a thesaurus.
But even very good things can get better, right? Which is why we’re always on the lookout for new writing talent! If you’ve ever wanted to get involved as a writer with InterVarsity’s blog, we’ve got a couple of ways that you can get in the game.
• Intern with us: The deadline for applications for our Editorial Internship is this Sunday, February 17. Editorial interns work from InterVarsity’s National Service Center in Madison, Wisconsin, as full-time members of our editorial team. They help advance our communications goals across multiple media platforms, including this here national blog. If you’re a college student who's creative and passionate about the written word and how God can use it to shape his kingdom, our internship might be for you! Click here for more information about how to apply.
• Write for us from afar: If you love to write but aren’t interested in employment, we would still love for you to be involved as a blog contributor! Lisa Rieck is our full-time blog overlord (the nice kind, of course). Please email her at lisa dot rieck at intervarsity dot org for more information about what we’re looking for and how you can get started writing for us.
