Administrative Assistant - Multiethnic Initiatives

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will provide administrative and operational support, facilitate in communication, and assist with special projects in the Multiethnic Initiatives and Creative Labs departments. It is critical ministry that advances our vision to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES    

  • Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world
  • Manage supervisor’s schedule and calendar as requested
  • Assist supervisor with administrative tasks in leading the department
  • Research for reports, presentations, projects, events, and meetings as requested
  • Assist supervisor in tracking financials—departmental and staff accounts
  • Communicate with other InterVarsity departments as needed
  • Assist supervisor in her/his communication with ministry partners

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in education/experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize events, manage details, and maintain accurate records and files
  • Ability to take charge of tasks and work independently without close supervision
  • Open to learn new concepts, methods, and skills
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is preferred
  • Familiarity with digital communications platforms
