Campus Staff Minister - Emory University

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s Graduate and Faculty Ministries (GFM) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Campus Staff Minister to join the existing team ministering to the graduate student and faculty population at Emory University. This large and diverse private institution, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading research university in the United States committed to creating, preserving, teaching, and applying knowledge in the service of humanity. Emory has many nationally recognized programs and is ranked in the nation’s top 25 universities by U.S. News and World Report.

InterVarsity is looking for a developing campus staff leader who wishes to grow their vision and expertise for ministering the gospel on campus. Working closely with current InterVarsity staff, this CSM will support existing ministries with graduate (PhD) and professional students (law, business, public health, medical, nursing, and theology), as well as international students and faculty. The ideal candidate has a track record of mentoring young men and women into leadership teams, possesses strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with graduate students, faculty and university administrators, and shows initiative and ability to develop and execute strategies that will build the campus fellowships.

In addition to investing in students and faculty, GFM campus staff members have regular opportunities to exercise their teaching gifts and further develop their leadership skills. We prefer someone with academic work beyond a bachelor’s degree. Having some theological education will be a great asset. All staff are required to raise their full ministry budget and will receive training in Ministry Partnership Development.
