Campus Staff Minister (International Student Ministry) - University of Idaho

The Northwest Region of InterVarsity is seeking a person of vision and faith to plant and grow a ministry among the 800 international students at the University of Idaho, the majority of whom come from the Middle East and China. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, committed to prayer, and able to work independently in a remote college town in the Inland Northwest.  Spiritual maturity and very good relationship building skills are a must for this position, as well as a passion for communicating biblical truth cross-culturally to those who have no previous knowledge.

Though fairly isolated, the town of Moscow is considered to be a great place to live. Livibility.com rates Moscow as the #8 college town in the nation. The town is ranked #5 in Men’s Journal’s “five best places to live in a college town.” Outside magazine ranks it in the top 30 universities in the U.S. that they consider to be a “great university to hit the books and the backcountry.” Moscow is surrounded by the beautiful Palouse hills and is close to many outdoor activities such as skiing, biking, climbing, paddling, camping and more.

Moscow is 8 miles away from Pullman, WA, the home of Washington State University. The position would allow for partnership with ISM staff serving with other organizations.
