Campus Staff Minister - University of Alaska (Fairbanks, Anchorage & Southeast), Alaska Pacific University

Alaska is a vast and beautiful place. At 663,267 square miles the state of Alaska is 2.2 times bigger than Texas. An endlessly beautiful place, a land of extremes from rainforest to tundra, from sea level to the highest peak in the U.S. (Mount Denali, 20,310 ft.). More than half of the nation’s national park lands are found in Alaska, and Kenai sockeye salmon is perhaps the best tasting fish on the planet.

More importantly, Alaska is home to the largest percentage of Native Americans (22%) in the country and nearly 4,000 of them are college students. Little is currently being done to reach and develop these students into Kingdom leaders that Creator is calling them to become. Though often overlooked by the campus community, these students have the potential to be future world changers, and their families and communities are looking to them for leadership and hope. We desire to see Alaska Native graduates return home as spiritually transformed and skilled leaders who will foster deep and lasting change in their communities, to the glory of God.

We’re seeking staff candidates who can cross cultures, build networks and are not afraid of failure. If you desire to see Alaska Native students love Creator Sets Free (Jesus), you are a self-starter, flexible, and love adventure, InterVarsity Alaska is looking to hire you!

Currently we are building partnerships with faculty, community members, and donors. We are now looking for the right campus staff ministers.  Join us in Alaska!
