Campus Staff Minister - University of Chicago

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries is seeking a campus minister to serve graduate students and faculty at the University of Chicago. Since 1890, the University of Chicago has prided itself on having a “singular focus on inquiry” that allows students and faculty to advance ideas and innovations that contribute to human flourishing. The university has over 2700 faculty and 9800 graduate students across numerous departments and disciplines and is a place of intellectual rigor and diverse perspectives with a global impact.

The University of Chicago educates future leaders of the world and many graduate students go on to become faculty who influence the next generation. The university is known for its connections to many world-renowned researchers and leaders with more than 80 Nobel Prize Winners have a connection with the University of Chicago.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong faith in Jesus and a love for the academic world. Candidates should be self-starters who demonstrate a passion for developing student leadership, have strong interpersonal skills, excel in strategic thinking, are able to work well with a wide diversity of students, and have the ability to build relationships with university staff and administrators. An excellent candidate will also be able to work well within the unique culture of this university and be able to contextualize ministry as needed.

The next University of Chicago campus minister will join a team of dedicated staff serving graduate students and faculty across Chicagoland, as we seek to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed.
