Executive Assistant - Advancement

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will provide support for the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Advancement and the Advancement teams by assisting with achievement of the vision, serving as a liaison with audiences inside and outside of InterVarsity, and exercising discretion in overseeing the implementation of policies, projects, programs and objectives.


  • Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world
  • Act independently on behalf of the Executive Vice President while serving as a liaison with various publics including other ELT and National Leadership Team (NLT) members, leaders, staff directors, staff, donors, faculty, and students
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the EVP line and organization
  • Communicate with a wide variety of internal and external audiences, departments, and organizations on behalf of the EVP and other members of the ELT and NLT
  • Raise a portion of salary in an amount or percentage agreed upon with the ELT member


  • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.  Abide by InterVarsity’s Code of Conduct.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous administrative experience required
  • Prior or current experience with InterVarsity as a staff member or student preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Project management skills, including the ability to monitor and coordinate a wide variety of reports
