Facilities Services Supervisor

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will supervise and perform day-to-day duties to support the NSC, and the Facilities Services team through troubleshooting, facility maintenance, meeting room set up, coordination and liaison to Facility Management partners, shipping and receiving, mailroom functions, and task and project-related coordination and problem solving for other members of the Facilities Services team. 


  • Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world.
  • Serve as the day-to-day facilities point person and partner with the Property Management firm, NSC staff and other vendors as needed
  • Log problems, resolutions, work performed and customer contacts in ticketing system
  • Perform light-to-medium duty maintenance, as required
  • Perform backup shipping, receiving, and mailroom services as needed
  • Set up for meetings and events
  • Supervise, lead and evaluate Facilities Services staff
  • Serve as backup to others when regular staff is unavailable
  • Develop a funding base of supporters and raise an agreed-upon amount of financial support


  • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in facilities, maintenance or relative field
  • 3 or more years’ experience supervisory experience, supervising a minimum 2 staff
  • 2 or more years’ customer service experience preferred
  • Customer orientation
  • Working knowledge of current Microsoft applications
  • Physical ability to lift 45 pounds
  • Generally familiar with building mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Reside in Madison vicinity
