Faculty Ministry Staff - Chicago, IL

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries seeks a Campus Staff Minister to serve faculty in the Chicago area. With over 30 colleges and universities, the Chicago area has a wealth of opportunity to grow ministry among faculty. Imagine what would happen if a group of faculty met, prayed and dreamed about transforming the intellectual climate of their campus at each of these schools! Imagine how the climate of the university could be changed and how students and faculty for years to come would be impacted!

Currently faculty from 6 colleges and universities in the Chicago area meet regularly to pray for their students, colleagues, and institutions. Many of them also are connected to student ministry on campus. A Campus Staff Minister will both meet with faculty individually as well as assist them in starting and growing faculty fellowships on their campuses.

Candidates should be self-starters who demonstrate a passion for building witnessing communities, strong interpersonal skills, prior Christian leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate a dynamic relationship with the university. Theological education and/or advanced degrees are considered an asset.

The next Faculty GFM staff will meet regularly with the GFM Chicago Area Team, assist in planting and growing faculty fellowships, and raise personal and ministry funds.
