From the President

InterVarsity president Alec Hill visits a global project pairing American and East Asian students for language and culture exchanges. "Living together with a student from another culture 24/7 for six weeks challenged the InterVarsity students to live the submissive, loving life."

Alec Hill: "At the end of each academic year, I like to take a moment to reflect. Over the past twelve months, six particular highlights stand out."

At the end of each academic year, I like to take a moment to reflect. Over the past twelve months, six particular highlights stand out.

It is far too easy for us to start a new academic year with great vigor, only to run out of gas in the spring. We all are prone to discouragement. If we allow discouragement to prevail over hope, we will not reap the promised harvest.

It is pure joy for me to share my favorite books. I continue to revel in my good fortune to be part of a community that prizes the "discipleship of the mind."

One of the best parts of my job is to interact with InterVarsity alumni. It is an absolute joy to see what the Lord has done with them in the decades after they left their InterVarsity chapters.

Transforming human beings is central to the Lord’s purpose on earth.

In July I visited three global projects.
