This could be your opportunity to shape the development of ministry to/with graduate students in Southeastern Wisconsin! InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries is looking for a growing follower of Jesus Christ with vision for ministry in the academy and a heart to serve those who study and serve in the academic context.

This opportunity will include inviting and networking participants, helping shape strategy and program, developing a core leadership team, and experiencing the dynamism of campus ministry in a first-hand way.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin Context

  • Milwaukee is an educational hub, home to three major schools – the University of Wisconsin, Marquette University, and the Medical College of Wisconsin
  • UW-M is Wisconsin’s only public urban research university, with almost 5,000 graduate students & over 1,500 international students
  • Marquette is a private Catholic (Jesuit) school with over 3,600 graduate students with international students constituting about 11% of the student population
  • Groups of graduate students currently meet at the UW campus and at Marquette University

Requirements

  • A deep appreciation for and understanding of faculty, academic staff, administrators and the academy
  • Post-baccalaureate education (graduate degree preferred)
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to help organize, support, encourage & extend hospitality to a diverse range of people
