Customer Service Representative - Urbana 18

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will respond to Urbana 18 inquiries in a timely, efficient, accurate and courteous manner and assist with check-in of all Urbana 18 participants.


  • Work with the Urbana Operations Team, Urbana Communications Team, Urbana Program Team and other InterVarsity staff to ensure efficient & appropriate representation of Urbana to various audiences
  • Respond to inquiries from staff, participants, and others, via phone, email or social media in a timely and accurate manner
  • Consistently apply registration policies and follow established response work flows
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the Urbana Registration Team (URT)
  • Work in partnership within URT and with other teams as required
  • Developing a 10% funding base


  • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
  • Shared value in the mission of Urbana – To compel this generation to give their whole lives for God’s global mission
  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Attendance at a previous Urbana conference strongly preferred
  • Experience with using social media for business communication preferred
