The Better World Instagram Proxe (Updated)

Engage your instagram followers in a dynamic discussion about Jesus and racial justice. The Better World Instaproxe allows you to your own virtual Proxe Station by sharing the beautiful art of Shin Maeng, creating an instagram poll, and then following up with those who respond and invite them to join you for the Jesus and Justice Discussion series or other community events. This Instaproxe is perfect for helping to awaken curiosity and start spiritual conversations with friends, acquaintances, and social media followers.

Stay tuned for Better World Ignite and Better World GIG (coming August).

What is an Insta-Proxe?

The best way to reach skeptics and seekers online is through intriguing and vulnerable posts, with a clear invitation at the end. We call this winsome approach to outreach Instagram Proxe Stations (or “Insta-Proxes”)1.

Here’s how a real student, Brandi, took her elements of her testimony2 and created an Insta-Proxe:

500 of Brandi’s friends looked at this story. 50 people voted on the first panel, most kept reading, and at the end 23 friends voted on her invitation. Brandi DM’ed her friends and invited them to the first InterVarsity meeting of the year. 12 of her friends said yes!

It took Brandi 30 minutes to create this winsome testimony. 500 were touched by it. 50 were engaged by it. And 12 decided to act on it...that is incredible impact!

1. Proxe is the InterVarsity word for any outreach that uses interactive art and honest conversation topics.

2. Some Christians think testimony is your story of salvation. We believe testimony is any story of an encounter with God.
