“While at Amherst, I had taken a gap year only to have come back to find that most of my friends had graduated. But I was able to find a close-knit community within Intervarsity, staff and friends who welcomed me back more than I had ever anticipated. I was able to bond through Amherst Friday night Fellowship, prayer meetings, end of semester summit, retreat and Urbana. God had awarded me with such great experiences and so many friends who I were able to meet because I had taken a gap year. I hadn’t known why I had to be away from school but upon return, I could give thanksgiving for the community and experiences He had been planning ahead! Praise be to Him! :) ”
