Urbana, held from 1948 to 2003 on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is InterVarsity's triennial North American Student Missions Conference. It is one of the longest-running, distinctive events of modern evangelical Christianity. In 2004 InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA announced a new location and the beginning of an exciting new era for one of our signature events. Since 2006 Urbana has been held at in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Edward Jones Dome and The America’s Center, in the shadow of the Gateway Arch.
InterVarsity believes that members of our chapters should have the same rights as members of other student organizations on the college campus. Our chapter leaders work with school administrators to maintain good relations. However, our ability to maintain the spiritual integrity of our chapters is being threatened at some schools. For more information on this topic, check out our Campus Access Issues webpage.
One of the ways that InterVarsity is known to the general public is through our publishing arm, InterVarsity Press. IVP is regularly recognized for the high quality of books under our imprints. IVP has a separate website, as well as a separate online press room.
