A prayer for us all in a season of constant transition.

Gracious Lord and Savior, thank you for pulling us up out of the ashes.

Thank you for a resurrected life that begins in the now.

Continue to breath on us, breath of God.

Fill us with life anew, that we may, love what you love, do what you would do, and be the peace you have given us in and through you.

Continue to give us the grace to know you more intimately, love more deeply, follow you more closely, and serve others more generously.

In the name of the resurrected Christ, Jesus.
Amen.

Reaching young adults has at times been a struggle for the global church. Presently, we are experiencing a great exodus from the church, including with GenZ recent graduates. Nearly 70% of young Christian teens are walking away from the Church. How might local churches even begin to reach out when a lot of this generation associates the Church with sexism, racism, and injustice?

Let’s learn together ways in which we can connect with a generation who’s expressed a deep desire for honest and safe community, vulnerable mentors, spiritual conversations, and social justice for all. Join us and leadership from our Alumni team as we explore together innovative ways to embody the beauty of the Bride and in turn, connect with this next generation of young adult graduates.

Discipleship Care: The Digital Examen Podcast

The world is full of noise.
Many people feel exhausted by the cacophony and chaos of the modern digital age, where peace is scarce and self-reflection is infrequent.

In The Digital Examen, a podcast from IVP, author and pastor Jay Y. Kim converses with a variety of leaders, pastors, and scholars who are working to reorient their lives in the direction of listening, tuning their hearts and minds to hear the voice of God in all of its clarity, kindness, and strength. Pastoral Insights: Mental Health, Prayer, & Ireland

The Ministry Playbook!

In our passion to catalyze even more witnessing communities, we have developed the Ministry Playbook. It’s a primer for students, interns, new staff, volunteers, and faculty, meant to offer the basics of campus ministry to anyone who feels called to it. We HIGHLY recommend this for the local church, ministers, and young emerging adults.

We envision this playbook will be a digital hub, where anyone can find and learn tried-and-true resources for campus ministry. We will be developing more specific tools and resources for the local church, yet, for now, we enthusiastically recommend the section on Mental Health & Prayer. This is more than just a tool to help one deal with anxiety, it’s a guide to help one explore how Biblical teachings, modern neuroscience, and practical strategies can shape a healthier approach to mental health, prayer, and the mingling of joy and sorrow daily.

InterVarsity Recommendations

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. We know that it's important to hear from authors of color about a wide variety of topics, including one’s that focus on an author's identity or ethnicity.

Learning Our Names: Asian American Christians on Identity, Relationships, and Vocation, By Sabrina S. Chan and Linson Daniel and E. David de Leon and La Thao

Learning Our Names

Asian American Christians on Identity, Relationships, and Vocation

bySabrina S. Chan, Linson Daniel, E. David de Leon, and La Thao

What's your name?

Asian Americans know the pain of being called names that deny our humanity. We may toggle back and forth between different names as a survival strategy. But it's a challenge to discern what names reflect our true identities as Asian Americans and as Christians. In an era when Asians face ongoing discrimination and marginalization, it can be hard to live into God's calling for our lives.

Asian American Christians need to hear and own our diverse stories beyond the cultural expectations of the model minority or perpetual foreigner. A team from East Asian, Southeast Asian, and South Asian backgrounds explores what it means to learn our names and be seen by God. They encourage us to know our history, telling diverse stories of the Asian diaspora in America who have been shaped and misshaped by migration, culture, and faith. As we live in the multiple tensions of being Asian American Christians, we can discover who we are and what God may have in store for us and our communities.
