Central College
2001

I grew in every way as a follower of Christ by being part of the InterVarsity chapter at Central College. I was developed by staff as a worship leader, which has been one of the key ways I've served the church after college. I grew in intercessory and healing prayer and my love for lost people. I remember one prayer meeting where my friends and I were literally wailing and crying out loud to God for our lost friends on campus. I remember wonderful times in manuscript study of Mark, Acts, Ephesians, Exodus. Manuscript study awakened my love of scripture and is my favorite method of Bible study today. I have led manuscript studies at my church -- John and Joshua. I understood God's heart for the poor through the Urban Project in St. Louis as well as the multiethnic nature of the Kingdom of God. Those two things completely altered my perspective on society, culture, politics and following Jesus. I am so thankful for InterVarsity.
