1986

As a child growing up in diverse denominations and church types, we were spoon fed the Word of God. At the end of high school, our youth group depended on the youth pastor to hear the Word of God. I participated in Intervarsity from 1980 to 1986. Splitting my time between American River College and the University at Davis. This ministry was geared toward Christians that wanted take charge of your christian walk and not blindly listen to any minister. Learn the Word yourself to make sure ministers are following the Word of God. Learn how to conduct a Bible study. There was an emphasis on praying for missions around the world. I take knowing the Word of God seriously. We need to hold dear the basics of Christ dying on cross, raised on 3rd day, and me born a sinner and accepting Christ's free gift of salvation.
