How did God change your life through InterVarsity?
“I went to San Diego State on a full-ride scholarship for ROTC the year after the university had the biggest drug bust in college history and it centered around the Fraternity system and Playboy magazine named San Diego State the number 1 party school. I went to have a good time and party hard. I did exactly that and by then of my Fall semester ended up feeling completely empty. In response to that emptiness I thought joining a fraternity would satisfy me by being able to party more. One of my first parties in my fraternity I met a guy drinking water from a red cup (Red Cup Proxe beginnings), I thought it was vodka. Something drew me to him because he was having a blast, not judging anyone, and genuinely caring for other guys. He explained he was not drinking in that setting anymore after becoming Christian. Over the semester we became friends and he became my big bro in my fraternity. He invited me weekly to a bible study at a sorority house called Greek InterVarsity. After half a semester of nothing adding up, one night in a sorority house I gave my life to Jesus. I loved InterVarsity because they were willing to meet me where I was at and valued my input during Bible study that was super non-judgmental. I loved their pursuit to go to every corner of the campus even a party in a Fraternity house. ”
