When I came to campus, I hadn't given much thought to what my faith would be like in college, but I had thought about how much fun I would have partying at college. But then I ran into some InterVarsity students handing out popsicles and they invited me to Bible study. I met God powerfully my freshman year, especially at fall conference where I felt God's presence for the first time and understood what it meant to have Jesus as Lord of my every area of my life. From there, they developed me as a leader, I encountered the power of the Holy Spirit, and experienced the transforming power of community. I also got to see and be a part of friends (and even my brother) coming to faith. I understand the power of the gospel to transform lives because of my time in InterVarsity.
