Phil Bowling-Dyer
As a trainer, mentor, and campus minister, Phil has dedicated the last thirty years helping people to connect with God, God’s mission, and with one another. He works with both individuals and teams, training them to relate more effectively and easily in diverse and "difference" situations—with measurable, positive results. He’s managed and coordinated employee research groups (ERG’s): women’s councils, Black employee groups, Asian American employee groups, and LGBTQ+ employee groups. He earned his undergraduate degree (marine biology) from the University of California Berkeley and his graduate degree (MDiv) from the American Baptist Seminary of the West. He’s certified diversity executive with IDC, and a certified trainer with both Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and Technology of Participation (ToP). When he’s not working, Phil bakes, goes hiking, and does community organizing. He currently resides in Oakland, California with his spouse and two kids.
