You can make a world-changing difference on college campuses.
Students are the most curious they have ever been about Jesus.
Students are wrestling with identity, justice, and hope—and they're more open to faith conversations than you think. Reaching those who lead and teach makes the campus a strategic mission field.
Every Corner of Every Campus
- Undergraduate Ministry: Helping college students discover Jesus, build community, and grow as lifelong disciples.
- Graduate & Faculty Ministry: Helping grad students and faculty flourish on campus as they mature as disciples and navigate academic and career paths.
- International Student & Ethnic Ministries: Helping students encounter Jesus and embrace their God-given identity and backgrounds.
- Vocational Ministries: Helping students and faculty integrate faith with calling—from arts, to academics, to healthcare, to business, and beyond.
- Campus Communities: Helping to bring the gospel to where students already are—in athletics, Greek life, and other campus communities.
Life on staff
Your questions, answered
InterVarsity Staff are expected to affirm InterVarsity's Doctrinal Statement. In addition to this, InterVarsity affirms:
- The leadership of women at all levels
- The church’s historic position on human sexuality
- A commitment to ethnic reconciliation and justice
While we don’t require a ministry degree, having some ministry leadership experience is preferred. InterVarsity staff are developed through theological and spiritual formation, and training in evangelism, ethnic reconciliation and justice, cross-cultural ministry, preaching, event planning, financial management, and more.
All InterVarsity staff fundraise to varying degrees according to their role, with most staff expected to raise their full budget including salary, benefits, and ministry expenses. Fundraising is more than money –it's building relationships with individuals, churches, and organizations who partner in prayer and finances with our mission.
InterVarsity provides extensive training, coaching, and tools throughout the fundraising process (called Ministry Partnership Development). New staff typically fundraise in community with others, and many find it is a formative spiritual discipline.
Raising support can feel daunting, but thousands of InterVarsity staff have successfully built ministry partnership teams. Don't let concerns about fundraising hold you back—we're happy to discuss what the process looks like if you get in contact.
In order for our staff to thrive on mission, we offer a robust benefits program and invite you to visit our Benefits Guide to learn more.
