The program challenges participants to explore the intersections between poverty, justice and faith and how God is inviting each of us to respond.
Challenges of Transformation
The Trek is a transformative experience. It is also an intentionally challenging one. Participants live with host families in urban neighborhoods with limited infrastructure, spend extended time outdoors in challenging conditions, and navigate travel-related risks. You'll also go long stretches without your phone, rely on a small group of fellow students for support, and encounter people and worldviews very different from your own. This includes situations of poverty that can bring up strong emotions. Success on the Trek means approaching all of this with humility, openness, and a team mindset.
We believe deeply in the power of this experience, but it isn't the right fit for everyone. Before applying, please talk with your friends and family about whether you're ready to grow through this kind of physical, emotional, and cultural stretch.

About the Program: This site will focus on refugees and migrants as well as learning about the cultures and history of this area. We will serve alongside refugees in a refugee school or other partnership using a variety of skill sets.

2. Creating sports activities for kids and adults in the neighborhood
3. Church planting and ministry
