MARCH 17-23

  • 17 - Students and staff participate in the Chicago Urban Program throughout this month. Pray that students serve well and return to campus with a deeper understanding of God’s love for all people, and that they would share the Gospel with their peers.
  • 18 - InterVarsity staff in the Northeast sponsor a booth this week at a student services national convention for leaders in university student development and student activities departments. Pray that our staff meet Christians and others who work in campus affairs departments.
  • 19 - Pray for deep transformation in students’ lives as Connie Anderson, justice specialist, leads over 20 participants in an Abolitionist Plunge in Columbus, OH, engaging the horrific realities of the modern-day slave trade among girls and women throughout the country.
  • 20 - Pray for Kurt Bullis, editorial director for urbana.org, and his team as they work to continue the momentum from Urbana 12 in an online medium.
  • 21 - The first Urban Dip in Des Moines, IA, begins today and goes through March 24. Pray for people to experience God’s love for them as students minister among refugees, the homeless, and victims of human trafficking.
  • 22 - The U.S. Civil Rights Commission is holding a briefing in Washington DC today on religious freedom, including a focus on the use of nondiscrimination policies by certain universities to force religious organizations like InterVarsity to stop requiring our chapter leaders to affirm basic religious beliefs. Pray that this briefing will be a key step in stopping this trend on campus. Also, throughout this month, Christian and non-Christian students from campuses in Massachusetts are attending the ServeUP projects in Tampa, FL, and New Orleans, LA. Pray that participants would begin relationships with Jesus Christ as they serve and study God’s Word.
  • 23 - Students from Hawai’i are participating in a spring break immersion outreach through March 27. Pray that through prayer and Bible study, they would strengthen their relationships with God, and that those who hear the Gospel would open their hearts to Christ.
