Mailin Young

Mailin has been on staff with InterVarsity for roughly 20 years and is responsible for staff training and leadership development nationally and within IFES-Europe. Originally from CA, and a UCLA alum, she helped plant new campus ministry in urban Los Angeles and worked abroad doing the same in Turkey for nine years. She and her husband, Nate, hope to return to the Middle East now that he has finished his PhD, to continue serving cross-culturally, building bridges with Muslims.

Mailin became a certified Gallup Strengths Coach in 2014 and is passionate to see individuals and organizations lead out the fullness of who God has created them to be. She and Nate have two boys, ages 10 and 13, and currently call Columbus, OH “home”. COVID-19 brought a flurry of new activities into her life including pour painting and morning walks with their dog Kipogi, named after the Kenyan runner Kipchoge, who broke the 2hr marathon.
