Equipping Students for Ministry

The New York/New Jersey Region of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is being given the 2005 Most Helpful Ministry award by Northeast Christians At Work. The awards are made at the end of every year. Northeast president Drew Crandall cited InterVarsity for hosting a workplace event of its own as well as its involvement with the 10th annual Called To Work Conference. “We really appreciate your enthusiasm for helping Christians to integrate their faith and work here in the northeastern United States,” he said.

Ed Miller, the New York/New Jersey assistant regional director, said InterVarsity is already planning its 2nd annual Ministry in Daily Life and Work Seminar. It will be held in Manhattan on Saturday, March 4, 2006.

Since 1986, InterVarsity’s Ministry in Daily Life Resource Group has been helping the church recover the biblical truth that God calls all Christians to minister daily in the places they live and work.
