Transforming the Campus and the World

Morgan Finney has proclaimed the gospel in her home church, in Bolivia, and in Honduras through the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists at Indiana University, where she serves as co-president. Next March, she will travel to Guatemala during her spring break to serve and share Christ’s love with residents.

While an undergraduate student at Purdue University, Morgan served as president of the Greek InterVarsity chapter on campus, ministering to students in fraternities and sororities, and as Female House Ministry Leaders’ Coordinator. “Through various InterVarsity activities, I gained a lot of insight and knowledge about how to be a servant leader, better equip myself for ministry, and most importantly, how to best be a light for Christ in my sorority house,” she said. While serving students at Purdue, Morgan met weekly with InterVarsity staff members for training and Bible study.

“I saw my sorority house as a place where I could live out my faith and share it with those around me. I was living in my mission field, being able to share in the lives of 80 people day in and day out. I was able to serve my sisters, love my sisters, pray for and encourage my sisters regardless of their spiritual backgrounds,” she said.

Morgan prays for her sorority sisters to accept Jesus as Lord of their lives. “Recently, God used me to help draw a friend in Optometry School to Him and help continue to disciple and encourage her as she seeks spiritual maturity in Him,” Morgan said.

InterVarsity trains students, like Morgan, to share the Gospel of Christ, whether on campus or around the world.
