Study Abroad Student Coordinator

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will facilitate communication, and assist with special projects for the Study Abroad office.


  • Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world.
  • Advise students on study abroad and assist semester program applicants (50%)
  • Outreach to increase aswareness of partner program opportunities by InterVarsity staff (45%)
  • Maintain skills and professional growth and partner development (5%)
  • Develop a support team and raise 100% of the annual position budget


  • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education/experience
  • Cross-cultural experience in a work or missions environment
  • Experience advising university students preferred
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications (Word, Excel)
  • Experience with database/client management; preference for experience with a CRM system
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including phone skills, use of messaging and skyping with various stakeholders (students, parents, university administrators, InterVarsity staff, etc.)
  • Availability for some travel, including international travel, up to 10% of job
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, usually as related to events or travel
