Building on the Basics

The state of Oklahoma had not had an InterVarsity presence in 20 years when Chris Goree and his wife Laurie began a chapter plant at Oklahoma University in 2008. Chris brought several years of experience in campus ministry to the plant, as well as ten years in the practice of law, but he was new to InterVarsity.

Compelled to Pray

Campus staff member Tina Aceti had big dreams for the Greek InterVarsity chapter at Central Michigan University. She arrived on campus this fall energized to meet new students and prepared to support InterVarsity students in their relationships with non-Christian Greek brothers and sisters. But as the first weeks of school came and went, Tina felt disappointed with the chapter's growth.

Urbana 09 for Credit

College students from across the country and around the globe will be traveling to St. Louis in December for Urbana 09, InterVarsity's twenty-second Student Missions Conference. Many participants will be inspired to dedicate their lives to God's service. Some will answer the call to the mission field. And some will earn college credits.
