In the 20 years since InterVarsity ServeUp began, 9,000 college students have served in disaster relief, including 4,000 non-Christians — with 600 putting their faith in Jesus. What began as a one-time response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina became two decades of rebuilding, evangelism, partnership, and leadership development.

Hannah, an international student from Shanghai, found herself halfway across the world for college. She was lonely and grappling with her faith, but in her junior year of undergrad she committed to InterVarsity. And when she moved on to graduate school, she immediately found her home at InterVarsity's Graduate Fellowship chapter at Columbia University.
