Alec Hill: A New Year on Campus

While August is often referred to as the "dog days of summer," it is anything but a relaxing month for campus staff. Four out of five universities operate on a semester system and most open their doors this month. Consequently, staff are already engaged in a variety of activities including preparing for New Student and New Faculty Outreach.

InterVarsity Alumni - T.R. Carr

T.R. Carr was planning a career in public service in state or local government, as he attended Minot State University. His major was Public Administration. But observing John Wilson, the faculty adviser of the Minot State InterVarsity chapter, T.R. saw a different perspective on service, the opportunity to influence the lives of young men and women by being a Christian faculty member at a public university.

Urbana Volunteers Will Host Thousands

Working from December 26th to January 1st, volunteers will help with registration, transportation, and other aspects of Urbana 09. Some who volunteer will have already experienced an Urbana conference for themselves and want to help others share the experience. Most of the volunteers will come from the St. Louis area, but a number of volunteers will travel to St. Louis for Urbana 09.

New Jersey Church Partnership

Located directly across the street from the campus of the College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey, Central Baptist Church is ideally positioned to reach many of the approximately 5,600 students who attend the school. But leaders of the church know that a good location doesn't guarantee an effective student ministry. So they decided to team up with InterVarsity.
