We recently formulated our core commitments. These statements summarize our ministry values and support our campus initiatives.

Our Core Commitments

Dr. John Alexander, InterVarsity President Emeritus, and Alex Anderson, Director of Black Campus Ministries, went home to be with the Lord this past academic year. Their leadership and presence will be missed.

InterVarsity students from Northern Illinois spent Spring Break building homes with Habitat for Humanity, and sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with their friends on the trip.

Groups Investigating God (GIGs) are small group Bible discussions designed to introduce non-Christians to the biblical Jesus.

Nina Thiel is an InterVarsity staff member and an actress who shares the gospel through drama. As the solo performer of the theatre piece Always the Women, Nina tells biblical stories about Jesus and the women in his life.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Winona State University in Southern Minnesota saw more than 750 students attend a campus prayer meeting held the day of the terrorist attacks, September 11, 2001.

Normal attendance at the InterVarsity’s Tuesday meeting is usually around 300, but on the day of the tragedy, more than ten percent of the campus turned up. InterVarsity Campus Staff Member Mark Paulson said that more than 750 students attended a prayer meeting that was sponsored by InterVarsity in place of it’s regular meeting. Winona State enrollment is 7,500.
