From the President

While August is often referred to as the "dog days of summer," it is anything but a relaxing month for campus staff. Four out of five universities operate on a semester system and most open their doors this month. Consequently, staff are already engaged in a variety of activities including preparing for New Student and New Faculty Outreach.

For most of our staff - unlike most Americans - summer is over. But don't feel sorry for us. To the contrary, we live for this time of year.

For ten days every June, new campus staff gather in Madison for training. As I got to know this year's class of 95 gifted individuals, I was amazed by their love for God, as well as their passion for students and faculty.

One of the best parts of my job is to receive first-hand accounts of students and faculty accepting the Father's gift of salvation through Jesus. And that has been occurring with increased frequency recently.

As I reflect on this year of ministry to students and faculty, I'm thrilled by the Lord's active hand. Despite economic uncertainty and campus access concerns, we have been truly blessed.

Cullen Story loved the Lord, was passionate about students and zealous for learning. In the book of Hebrews, we are told that a great cloud of witnesses surrounds us. Cullen is now amongst them.
