ISSUES IN CAMPUS MINISTRY

For more than 75 years, InterVarsity’s mission field has been US college and university campuses. Each of the following issues are a part of InterVarsity’s campus ministry in the 21st century.

  • The Search for Meaning

InterVarsity staff on campuses around the country testify to the fact that students still desire truth and meaning in their lives. Each year, thousands of students and faculty make decisions to follow Christ and pursue a deeper walk with him through InterVarsity’s ministry.

  • Women and Men in Partnership

In the age of #MeToo, Christian communities have not been above reproach. Campus ministry can create a culture of honor, care, and justice with women and men thriving in partnership.

  • Our Redeemed Ethnic Identity

Christians are called to move beyond the artificial tension of “colorblindness” to something far more beautiful: exploring our ethnic identities, created and redeemed by God.

  • Changing the Culture of the University

InterVarsity’s vision is to see students and faculty transformed, the campus renewed, and world changers developed. We believe campus culture can and should be changed.

  • Missions

Students have an increasing awareness of global realities and concerns. Through InterVarsity, they are invited to learn more and be equipped to humbly serve and walk alongside others.

  • Campus Access

On a small but growing number of campuses, Christian students are being marginalized and forced to conform to nondiscrimination policies that penalize religious expression.

  • Cutting-Edge Evangelism

Conversions on campus are numerically higher than ever. And InterVarsity equips students to engage their campuses and share their faith.

  • Scripture Engagement

Inductive Bible study has been at the core of InterVarsity’s campus witness since the beginning. The Bible is still relevant as a foundation for life in the 21st century.
