Stories from Campus

When college students experience pivotal, transformative moments with God, he might not change what they do but always changes how they do it. For Joshua at UCLA, one simple question changed his perspective of his life on campus and future vocation. He realized that his purpose as a believer is to reflect the kingdom of God. Through your prayers and support, InterVarsity equips students to be a formative presence in the world around them. They grow to display Jesus to everyone they meet in everything they do, joining in God’s mission to restore and renew brokenness on campus.

Most people worry that college is where students lose their faith. Sadly, many do. But, we’ve also found that college is an ideal place to help students grow their faith and introduce them to Jesus. Every day, through your prayers, volunteer time, and generosity, you’re helping InterVarsity staff and student leaders reach students who might feel lonely or lost. We help show them what it looks like to follow Jesus as an adult and to make their faith their own during the most formative years of their lives. For some, like Matthew, these interactions happen at just the right time.

Fall Conference was where God prepared me for years of serving my campus. I knew that he was going to do the same for the eager students who showed up in 2023.

Last school year at the University of Colorado Boulder, Derek, Abigail, and Jake started attending an InterVarsity small group on campus. There, they found belonging, opportunities to grow their faith, and a lifelong love of prayer ministry. They also discovered a God who could miraculously heal them not only of their physical ailments, but also of their mental, emotional, and spiritual brokenness.
